About Taylor

My academic training in Counseling Psychology was completed at the California Institute of Integral Studies and supplemented by a year of training in Internal Family Systems (IFS). This specialized modality of IFS is very effective in finding root causes of suffering and unwinding the habitual patterns perpetuating this suffering. I am passionate about offering it to clients because it is a way we can bring therapy into everyday life and take responsibility for healing ourselves. I also spent a year doing clinical work in the Gestalt Therapy based Church Street Counseling Center.

Underpinning my therapeutic training are two decades of transformational explorations including countless meditation retreats, dedicated study into the nature of the human experience, indigenous vision quests, dance, making art, sound healing, world travel, the study of permaculture and nature connection, and sacred sexuality. A year of surviving breast cancer gave me a deep opportunity to put my psychological and spiritual tools to the test, profoundly increasing my belief in and gratitude of the power of these tools.
